Chewy CEO: Consumers More Stretched In Recent Months -- Market Talk

1609 ET - Consumers are more stretched now than they were at the start of the year, Chewy CEO Sumit Singh says at the JPMorgan's Global Technology, Media and Communications Conference. While Chewy consumers are relatively well-insulated from weakened discretionary spending, they are "not immune to the macro changes we are seeing," he says. The pet-food seller is closely watching trends to see what these shifts in the wider economy mean for the back half of the year, according to the CEO. "Only time will tell," Singh says.
