In connection with the strategic launch of CIF Egypt wheat assessments, Fastmarkets has introduced dedicated freight rates from Ukraine and from the CVB ports (Constanta, Varna and Burgas) to Egypt. \nFastmarkets is also clarifying that the Black Sea-North Africa assessment has historically referred to the Russia-Egypt route on Supramax vessels; this will now transition to Handy-sized vessels, reflecting that most cargo volumes exported from Russia are transported via Handy-sized vessels.\nSaudi Arabia is one of the largest purchasers in the Middle East and frequently sources key commodities through official state tenders from the Black Sea region, with particular emphasis on Russia.
