Space stocks are rocketing upwards.
AST SpaceMobile and Virgin Galactic have each risen more than 9% in Friday's trading session, extending gains from Thursday driven by SpaceX's move toward an initial public offering.
Shares of spacecraft maker Firefly Aerospace and satellite builder Rocket Lab have also lifted up by around 7% each after ending Thursday lower.
Firefly and Rocket Lab have each added more than 75% to their share price this year. Firefly went public last summer after guiding the first successful private moon landing, while Rocket Lab has fixated on going head-to-head with SpaceX, Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin and other industry powers.
