Lincoln International's Trifecta Reasoning for Going Public at 30 - Market Talk -- Market Talk

1318 ET - Lincoln International CEO Robert Brown says going public required a trifecta of conditions: strong business momentum, a strong public market, and favorable private capital markets. "And with all of the retail money coming into this market," he says, "we strongly believe that's true." While the IPO offers investors economic exposure, it also provides the controlled company with a crucial cash cushion for acquisitions during industry consolidation. Brown says the IPO marks an important milestone that will "elevate our brand" across the public, business, and investment communities. Lincoln International, then known as Lincoln Partners, was created by four bankers in Chicago in 1996. (maria.armental@wsj.com; @mjarmental)
