根据彭博基于美国财政部数据所做测算，土耳其在3月几乎清空了所持的美国国债，以加大力度在伊朗战争爆发后的首月支撑本币。
数据显示，截至3月底，土耳其持有的美国国债降至18亿美元，前一个月为160亿美元。该数据包含土耳其央行以及土耳其企业等其他实体的持仓。
土耳其的减持恰逢中东冲突爆发后该国市场遭遇抛售，油价也随之大幅上涨。土耳其央行迅速出手，通过收紧融资条件以及出售外汇和黄金资产，防止里拉大幅走弱。其干预措施还包括动用储备中的黄金进行互换操作。
土耳其央行通常不就其干预行动发表评论。对于出售美债一事，该行也不予置评。
在土耳其用了一年时间重建外汇储备后，该国持有的美国国债规模曾在2025年2月达到210亿美元。约十年前，这一持仓曾触及800亿美元峰值，随后随着土美关系因一系列政治和地缘争端而恶化，持仓持续下降。
3月是目前可获得数据的最后一个月份，4月数据将于下个月公布。
