Universal Technical Institute to Join S&P SmallCap 600, Replacing Veris Residential

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) will join the S&P SmallCap 600, effective before the market opens next Wednesday, S&P Dow Jones Indices said late Thursday.
Universal Technical Institute will replace Veris Residential (VRE), which is being acquired by Affinius Capital and Vista Hill Partners in a deal expected to close soon, according to the statement.
Universal Technical Institute shares rose 5.2% in after-hours activity.
S&P Dow Jones Indices is a division of S&P Global (SPGI).
