消息面上，受霍尔木兹海峡通航状况好转等因素影响，国际油价大幅下跌，布伦特原油跌至105美元附近，此外，美国原油则跌破100美元。特朗普称美伊处于“最后阶段”，市场对停火与霍尔木兹海峡重新通航的预期升温。特朗普5月20日表示，美国与伊朗的冲突可能很快结束，双方谈判已进入最终阶段；伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队海军20日表示，过去24小时内，有26艘船只在伊朗方面的协调和安全保障下通过了霍尔木兹海峡，其中包括油轮、集装箱船和其他商船。
