5月21日，韩国KOSPI指数高开近4%，截至发稿，涨幅扩大至超4.5%。KOSPI 200期货上涨5%后，韩国交易所启动KOSPI熔断机制，程序化交易暂停5分钟。消息方面，三星电子周三晚间与工会达成初步协议，最后关头避免罢工。此外，韩国海关周四公布的数据显示，按工作日差异调整后，5月1日至20日出口同比增长52.6%，高于4月份前20天的增幅49.4%。按未经调整口径计算，出口增长64.8%，进口增长29.3%，贸易顺差110亿美元。芯片出口同比大增202%，计算机相关产品出口飙升305.5%，显示与人工智能相关的需求持续旺盛。
