Jade Biosciences (JBIO) has dosed the first participant in its phase 2 trial of experimental therapy, JADE101, for immunoglobulin A nephropathy, or IgAN, the drugmaker said Tuesday.

IgAN is a chronic autoimmune kidney disease that can progress to kidney failure over time, often affecting younger patients.

The open-label study will enroll about 30 participants and evaluate safety, tolerability, kidney function and protein levels in urine as markers of disease progression, the company said.

Interim results are expected in 2027, it added.
