Kura Oncology (KURA) said Tuesdy that it recorded encouraging early-stage clinical data for its experimental cancer drug combination of darlifarnib and adagrasib in patients with KRAS G12C-mutated solid tumors, with 77% of response-evaluable patients showing tumor shrinkage.
The Phase 1a study enrolled 30 heavily pretreated patients, including some previously treated with KRAS inhibitors, it said. Among 26 response-evaluable patients, the objective response rate reached 67% in pancreatic cancer, 50% in non-small cell lung cancer, and 29% in colorectal cancer patients who had not received prior KRAS inhibitor therapy, it added.
Kura said 94% of evaluable patients without prior KRAS inhibitor treatment experienced tumor shrinkage. The company added that the combination therapy was generally well-tolerated with a manageable safety profile.
