Bitcoin Extends Loss as ETF Outflows Ramp Up -- Market Talk

1203 ET - Bitcoin is closing in on a low seen last week, falling 1.4% to $74,899. ETF outflows have been on an extended losing streak, according to data from Coinglass. ETF outflows were $333.6 million yesterday, making it the seventh straight day that net outflows have been recorded for bitcoin ETFs. Pressure on prices is also being seen from a larger influx of BTC coming from miners that is hitting centralized exchanges like Binance, says Amr Taha of CryptoQuant in a note. However, Taha notes, bitcoin price action hasn't displayed a sharp downturn tied to this influx of miner's coins. "Miner selling pressure may be returning, but the market response suggests that demand is still strong enough to absorb part of that supply," Taha says. (kirk.maltais@wsj.com)
