American Airlines Group (AAL) is targeting to double the workforce at its technology hub in Hyderabad, India to about 800 by early 2027, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

The hub has about 400 employees working on software engineering, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, sources told the news outlet. Reuters said American Airlines confirmed that it plans to continue hiring in Hyderabad, but did not disclose a specific headcount.

American Airlines Group did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
