东京关键通胀指标意外连续第六个月降温，在日本央行决策者试图证明最早下个月加息的合理性之际，这份数据传递出更加复杂的信号。
日本总务省周五公布数据，5 月东京地区不含生鲜食品的核心消费者物价指数（CPI）同比上涨 1.3%，该数据已连续六个月回落，且低于媒体经济学家调查中的绝大多数预期。与此同时，剔除生鲜食品与能源的核心核心 CPI（日本央行重点关注的潜在通胀指标）同比上涨 1.6%。这一指标剔除了补贴政策带来的干扰，以及去年物价大幅波动造成的基数偏差，能更客观地反映真实物价走势。东京整体 CPI 同比上涨 1.4%。
东京物价数据被视作日本全国通胀走势的先行风向标。加工食品价格同比涨幅收窄，加之水费大幅下调，拖累整体消费者物价指数（CPI）走低。受首相高市早苗推出的汽油补贴政策影响，能源价格持续回落。高市早苗计划很快向国会提交追加预算，以延续该项补贴措施。
