Haranga Resources (ASX:HAR) completed its reverse circulation drilling program at the Ibel South project in Senegal, expanding the depth and lateral extent tested at the project, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The program focused on high-priority targets, with roughly 1.5 kilometers of prospective strike tested to depths of up to 306 meters, the filing said.

Visual hydrothermal alteration and pyrite mineralization were found in 10 of the 19 holes drilled, while three holes ended in altered and mineralized greywacke sandstone at depths of 103 meters, 120 meters, and 300 meters, indicating the alteration system remains open at depth.

Sample dispatch is underway, with initial assay results anticipated about one month post-sample receipt, per the filing.

Shares rose 4% in midday trade on Friday.
