SpaceX IPO Should Give Investors Liquidity to Diversify Space Portfolios -- Market Talk

1411 ET - The coming SpaceX IPO should give longtime investors an opportunity to recognize their gains and diversify their space portfolio, KeyBanc analyst Michael Leshock tells WSJ. The IPO "could potentially offer them the liquidity to sell some of their shares and rotate into these smaller companies that are experiencing very high levels of growth," he says. There's a long runway for the sector as a whole, he adds, as smaller companies have opportunities to compete in areas where SpaceX isn't expected to dominate the market, such as smaller rockets with lunar payloads. Many space stocks have rallied significantly since talks of a SpaceX IPO began picking up at the end of last year.(elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
