Technology stocks were rising pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) advancing by 1.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 1% higher.
Dell Technologies (DELL) shares were up more than 33% after the company reported fiscal Q1 financial results that topped analyst estimates and issued higher-than-expected guidance for fiscal Q2 and the full year.
