美国清洁能源燃料公司(Clean Energy)宣布，其位于爱达荷州杰罗姆市的East Valley Cattle可再生天然气设施已正式投产。这座与全美最大单体奶牛场之一合作建设的项目，日均可处理超过500万加仑牛粪，预计年产燃料足以替代逾1亿加仑柴油，是目前北美规模最大的同类设施之一。

　　该牧场饲养着超过35，000头奶牛，项目核心是六座厌氧消化器，用于捕获牛粪分解产生的甲烷。该设施采用市政级废水处理系统和先进的粪便分离技术，将有机废弃物转化为符合管道输送标准的RNG。转化后的副产品则被回收利用，制成牲畜垫料和农田肥料，实现资源循环。

　　该项目产出的RNG碳强度为负值，已被注入州际管道，为全美的运输车队提供清洁动力。Clean Energy战略发展副总裁表示，该项目在规模、技术和系统集成方面极具挑战性，实现了“双重可再生”，即同时消除废弃物甲烷并替代化石天然气。

　　今年第一季度，该项目已确认首批收入，并获得了美国环保署和加州空气资源委员会的批准，可在联邦和州清洁燃料计划下生成燃料信用额度。项目资金来自Clean Energy与英国石油的合资企业。

　　据美国环保署数据，农业和交通运输分别占全美温室气体排放的10%和28%。RNG是目前极少数能在全生命周期中实现负碳强度的燃料之一，且零售成本远低于柴油。
