针对人工智能（AI）聊天机器人被控存在安全缺失一事，各界反弹声浪日益高涨，而美国佛罗里达州对此发起了新一轮攻势，成为首个对OpenAI及其首席执行官山姆·奥特曼提起诉讼的州。
佛罗里达州总检察长詹姆斯·乌特迈尔（James Uthmeier）于周一提起诉讼，指控OpenAI和阿尔特曼明知产品不安全却执意发布，对该产品可能伤害用户的警告置若罔闻。
这份长达83页的诉状指控，OpenAI放任ChatGPT协助和教唆大规模枪击案凶手、鼓励他人自杀、削弱用户的批判性思维能力，并让未成年人沉迷于这款伪装具备人类同情心的工具。
该诉状称，“被告明知ChatGPT存在危险，却为了赢得AI军备竞赛、敛聚巨额财富而贪得无厌，正是这种无尽的渴求导致了这一系列危害。”
OpenAI未立即就该诉讼置评。OpenAI此前曾否认存在不当行为，并表示该公司正不断加强安全防护措施。
美国立法者、司法机构和公共利益团体日益担忧AI带来的个人和社会风险。AI是史上发展最快的消费技术之一。
诉状称，此举旨在保护佛罗里达州居民免受OpenAI行为的侵害，并缓解其所谓的危险公共妨害。
诉状还要求追究阿尔特曼的个人责任，称其对佛罗里达州居民造成了伤害。
今年4月，乌特迈尔对OpenAI展开了刑事调查，以查明其聊天机器人在去年佛罗里达州立大学一起大规模枪击案中扮演的角色；该事件共导致两人死亡。
