TransCode Therapeutics (RNAZ) said Wednesday that its Phase 1a dose-escalation trial of cancer therapy TTX-MC138 met its primary safety endpoint, with no dose-limiting toxicities observed across 16 patients treated.
The company said 9 of 14 evaluable patients, or 64%, achieved stable disease lasting at least six months. Three patients remain on treatment, with one receiving therapy for 21 cycles, it added.
TTX-MC138, an investigational inhibitor of microRNA-10b, is being developed to target metastatic cancer. TransCode said it selected 4.8 mg/kg as the recommended Phase 2a dose and plans to evaluate the therapy in patients with circulating tumor DNA-positive colorectal cancer following curative-intent treatment.
