A subsidiary of Cadre Holdings was selected to provide ballistic panels to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The subsidiary, Safariland, was selected as the ballistic panel provider for Predictive Ballistics, which recently received a $61 million five-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to provide its Overt Armor Kit to the FBI.

Financial terms of Cadre's involvement weren't disclosed.

The company said its selection as a provider demonstrates growing commercial adoption of its products and adds to a pipeline of business with federal law enforcement agencies. It said its product, the Safariland SX HP ballistic panel, was chosen over 11 competing products.

"After introducing the Safariland SX HP ballistic panel in 2025, we are pleased to see broader adoption and enthusiastic feedback from customers that we have engineered one of the thinnest, lightest, and most protective hybrid ballistic armor on the market," Cadre Holdings President Brad Williams said.
