双方合作始于2021年，协议约定由Syrah路易斯安那州维达利亚工厂，每年向特斯拉供应8000公吨石墨阳极材料。2025年7月，特斯拉以该厂产出样品质量不达标为由，向Syrah发出违约通知，触发合作危机。
此后双方多次协商拉锯，先后四次延期纠纷解决期限。随着Syrah成功产出符合特斯拉标准的天然石墨活性阳极材料样品，特斯拉最终认可其生产资质，撤销协议终止意向，延续双方长期供应链合作关系。
