IBM今日宣布，计划在未来五年内向量子计算领域投入超过100亿美元。投资将用于研发、资本支出、规模化制造、生态合作及并购交易，全面加速IBM量子计算路线图，目标在2029年推出全球首台大规模容错量子计算机，并夯实美国在量子计算领域的领先地位。
该投资基于行业内最完备的量子技术基础，包括全球规模最大的量子计算机集群、应用最广泛的量子软件，以及由340余家机构组成、已投入实际业务运行的客户与合作伙伴网络。本轮投资将为该技术基础注入下一阶段发展动力，推动IBM从当前商用量子计算机，迈向容错级规模化系统。
IBM董事长兼首席执行官表示：“量子时代并非未来，而是已经到来。全球各地的客户、合作伙伴与用户正借助IBM量子计算机，完成数年前无法实现的工作。量子计算带来的发现速度正快速提升，这笔投资将支撑我们推出下一代量子硬件、软件与制造能力。”
