UOB Kay Hian Flags Optimism for Thai Stocks in Medium to Long Term -- Market Talk

0402 GMT - The Thai stock market could be volatile in the short-term, say UOB Kay Hian analysts, but they remain optimistic on its performance in the mid-to-long term. Thai equities in May were mainly supported by stronger-than-expected 1Q earnings, they say in a research note. Thai equities remain attractive partly due to their undemanding valuations. A recent government emergency loan decree has also significantly lifted Thailand's 2026 GDP growth outlook, and bodes well for the economy and equities market, they add.(amanda.lee@wsj.com)
