Waratah Minerals Confirms Extension of High-Grade Mineralization at New South Wales Project; Shares Down 5%

Waratah Minerals (ASX:WTM) confirmed "strong" growth from the Consols Zone, within the Spur project in New South Wales, with extension of high-grade mineralization, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Results from the growth and extensional drilling program include 51 meters at 1.5 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 629 meters, including 35 meters at 2.1 g/t grade of gold from 629 meters and 9 meters at 6.2 g/t grade of gold from 632 meters, the filing said.
Additionally, drilling at the central Spur Zone continued to define shallow high-grade mineralization, yielding 31 meters at 1.7 g/t grade of gold from 86 meters, per the filing.
Shares fell nearly 5% in midday trade Thursday.
