Starbucks Considering Options for Japan Business, Including Stake Sale, Bloomberg Reports, Citing Sources

--U.S. coffee chain Starbucks is weighing options for its unit in Japan, including a stake sale, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.

--A stake sale could be valued at $2.5 billion to about $3 billion, while an initial public offering of the business is another option, according to Bloomberg.

--Starbucks last year announced a deal to sell a majority stake in its China business to Boyu Capital that it said was valued at $4 billion.
