Shandong Boan Biotechnology (HKG:6955) licensed BA5101 to a partner in the U.S., according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The firm's partner will be responsible for commercializing the diabetes treatment in the U.S., including the submission of the biologics license application and sales.
BA5101, also known as dulaglutide, is a biosimilar version of Trulicity.
The company said it is eligible for an upfront payment, as well as milestone payouts and sales commissions.
