1824 ET - Cracker Barrel has put its remodeling plans on pause after "everything that happened to us in Q1," Chief Executive Officer Julie Masino says, referring to customer backlash to the company's short-lived branding overhaul. "Our guests did not want us to move forward with that at this point in time," she says. Instead, the company is focusing on lower-profile upgrades to its stores and restaurants, including upgrades to restrooms and retail displays. "When we get to '27, we'll talk about what we're thinking about going forward," Masino adds. "We don't have big plans to roll over the whole program." (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
