智通财经APP获悉，据外媒报道，作为更广泛全球重组的一部分，瑞银已大幅缩减其在亚洲的可持续发展办公室，近月来将员工人数削减了一半。具体来看，瑞银将其亚洲团队从七人减至三人，离职者包括三名香港员工，其中两人为执行董事。此次重组对不同地区的员工影响不均。
报道指出，瑞银在整合瑞信后，一直在缩减其ESG（环境、社会及管治）职能。首席可持续发展办公室的全球员工已从2023年中期的100多人缩减至约35人。
裁员范围不仅限于核心部门：瑞银在2024年12月解散了可持续发展与影响力研究所团队（影响约五名员工）；几乎裁撤整个约10人的ESG数据团队，只留下一名员工，数据专家和研究人员被重新分配到其他部门。此外，社会影响与慈善职能也在缩编，员工从瑞信整合前的约150人降至约86人，其中至少40人在银行内部重新分配了岗位。
另一名知情人士表示，随着瑞银精简营运模式以提高效率，可能会有进一步的调动。瑞银发言人拒绝对具体的裁员情况置评，但称正在调整其处理ESG议题的方式。发言人在声明中表示：“我们将瑞银定位为永续发展领导者的目标并未改变。我们正将永续发展职能嵌入整个集团，以强化执行力、提升生产效率、避免重复作业，并以规模化方式支持客户与各项业务。”
