6月8日，省道505线龙圩古凤村至新地路面改造工程正式开工建设。
6月8日，在省道505线龙圩古凤村至新地路段，过往车辆有序通过路面改造工程施工现场（无人机照片）。李灿明 摄省道505线龙圩古凤村至新地路段是龙圩区重要交通干线，线路串联龙圩镇、大坡镇、新地镇等多个村镇，沿途分布有苍海国家湿地公园、李济深故居等景点。该路段因年限较长，出现路面平整度不足等问题，影响通行效率与安全。为改善道路通行条件，提升群众出行的安全性和舒适度，桂东公路发展中心推动实施路面改造工程。
据悉，该项路面改造工程全长42.255公里，计划工期6个月。该工程以优化线型及通行条件为核心，按照二级公路标准建设，路基分段采用8.5米、10米两种宽度标准，针对不同破损路况实施差异化施工，同步配套完善边沟排水、安全防护栏等设施，并对沿线3座桥梁的桥面进行专项整治。
