路透6月12日 - 美国食品和药物管理局（FDA）周五表示，已将德康（Dexcom）旗下 DXCM.O Stelo血糖生物传感器系统的适用范围扩展至患有糖尿病的儿童，使其成为首款适用于儿科患者的非处方连续血糖监测仪。
该设备获准用于2岁及以上且未使用胰岛素的患者。此前，FDA已于2024年3月批准Stelo用于18岁及以上成人。
Stelo通过可穿戴传感器和智能手机应用程序监测血糖水平，每15分钟显示一次读数及趋势。FDA表示，每个传感器可持续使用长达15天，但儿童的佩戴时间可能较短。
该机构表示，该设备可帮助儿童及看护者了解饮食、运动和生活方式的改变如何影响血糖水平。
FDA强调，儿童应在成人监督下使用该设备，且用户在根据读数调整药物前应咨询医疗保健提供者。
该设备不适用于有低血糖问题的人群，因其设计上无法对这种潜在危险状况发出警报。
