Perseus Mining Lifts Buyback to AU$150 Million After Completing AU$100 Million Tranche; Shares Up 9%

Perseus Mining (ASX:PRU) has completed its AU$100 million on-market share buyback and expanded the program by AU$50 million to AU$150 million, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company has repurchased 19.1 million shares under the buyback program at an average price of AU$5.24 per share, per the filing.

The proposed program started on Dec. 15, 2025, and will run until Aug. 28, the filing said.

The company has returned a total of AU$183.5 million to shareholders through buybacks since August 2024, acquiring 45.1 million shares at an average price of AU$4.07 per share, representing about 3.3% of the shares on issue at the launch of its maiden buyback program, the filing added.

The company's shares rose 9% in recent Monday trade.
