Perpetual futures tied to SpaceX is now the second most-traded asset on decentralized crypto exchange Hyperliquid, with a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $1.3 billion, the exchange's data shows.
Perpetual futures are derivative contracts that never expire and allow traders to use leverage. These instruments, especially the ones tied to traditional assets, gained popularity during the Iran war when traders took advantage of their 24/7 availability to trade oil-linked derivatives on the platform.
