0647 GMT - China's battery sector is likely to benefit from strong energy-transition-linked momentum, say DBS Group Research's Tina Hu and Pei Hwa Ho in a note. The instability of wind and solar power generation has bolstered demand for energy storage, they say, noting clean energy's rising prevalence in markets like Europe and China. Global energy-storage project installations are likely to increase at a 29% compound annual growth rate over 2025-2030, the analysts say. China is likely to continue dominating the global energy-storage supply chain, given its scale cost advantages and network buildout, they add. DBS's top sector pick is Contemporary Amperex Technology, as its battery assets remain essential for battery energy storage systems to achieve reliable long-term operations. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
