Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) confirmed that it had undisclosed information to the market regarding its South Australia project that could explain recent trading in its securities, according to its response to an Australian Securities Exchange price query filed with the Australian bourse on Friday.

The query was referring to the change in the price of the company's securities to a high of AU$0.051 on Wednesday from a low of AU$0.041 on Tuesday, the filing said.

The company said it had a draft mineral resource estimate for the Samphire project's Plumbush deposit at the time of the recent trading activity.

Since the estimate was in draft form, the company deemed that the information was incomplete and insufficiently definite to warrant disclosure, per the filing.

Shares fell nearly 26% in midday trade Friday.
