ChainCatcher 消息，前以太坊基金会（Ethereum Foundation）核心开发协调员 Trent Van Epps 发文表示，随着基金会持续推进“Subtraction（减法治理）”战略、金库规模逐步收缩，以及为期 4 年的客户端激励计划（CIP）于今年 4 月到期，以太坊核心开发生态或将在未来 3 至 9 个月内面临缓慢发酵的资金危机。
Trent 指出，目前维持以太坊 10 余个客户端团队、研究机构及协调组织正常运转，每年约需 3000 万美元资金支持。若资金持续不足，可能导致关键开发者流失、协议升级放缓，并削弱以太坊在扩容、量子计算防御及网络维护等领域的长期竞争力。以太坊基金会并非为永久治理者而设计，未来十年需要新的机构承担协议发展职责。随着基金会影响力逐步下降，以太坊生态亟需建立新的资金分配机制、治理框架及制度继承体系，以保障协议长期可持续发展。
