Darren Rebelez wants to win in fuel, convenience, and food at Casey's General Stores. By Teresa Rivas
Shoppers typically don't linger at convenience stores like Casey's General Stores, but the company's success is worth a longer look. Casey's now has nearly 3,000 locations in 19 states. Earnings per share more than doubled from fiscal 2022 to 2026, and the stock has risen more than 300% in the same span. Casey's joined the S&P 500 stock index in April, further validation of CEO Darren Rebelez's hard work and creative leadership.
"We sit at the intersection of fuel, convenience, and restaurant-quality food, and we've built a business that is resilient and can win across all three," Rebelez, 60, says.
Casey's is the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country, and its latest menu addition, chicken wings, is flying off the shelves. "Our recent addition to the S&P 500 underscores investor confidence in the progress we've made, but we're even more excited about the runway ahead as we continue building a bigger, better Casey's for our guests, communities, and shareholders," Rebelez says.
