星巴克在伦敦和中国香港两个中心裁减公司职能员工，这两个中心负责其部分国际业务。与此同时，这家咖啡连锁企业正给予获得授权的第三方运营商更大自主权，以运营其北美以外的门店。

　　知情人士透露，这家总部位于西雅图的公司在中国香港办公室裁减了约20%的员工，约60个职位；该办公室负责中国和日本以外的亚太地区业务。星巴克还在伦敦裁撤了约120个职位，伦敦是其欧洲、中东和非洲业务总部所在地。

　　星巴克一直在重组公司职能团队，以削减成本，并精简其所谓的冗余管理层级，裁撤负责协调工作的岗位。随着公司推出新产品、调整营销并推出门店改造计划，经历长期低迷后，其销售额已回升。

　　除5月发布的全球重组公告外，星巴克拒绝进一步置评；当时该公司披露了最新一轮美国裁员，并表示正在评估其国际公司职能团队。
