泰国能源部一名高级官员表示，由于新建数据中心将大幅推高电力需求，泰国计划加快液化天然气基础设施及天然气勘探领域投资。

　　泰国能源部常任秘书巴瑟・辛苏克普拉瑟特于周三向记者透露，政府正在起草新版电力发展规划，保障规划内数据中心的电力充足供应；这批数据中心全面投产后预计总耗电规模达20000兆瓦。

　　当局正考虑在泰国液化天然气核心枢纽罗勇府扩建液化天然气分馏厂与进口接收站。巴瑟称，现有设施年液化天然气处理能力约2000万吨。

　　政府同时在研究安达曼海天然气田的开发可行性，此前因开发成本过高，该海域尚未开展任何勘探项目。
