BlinkLab (ASX:BB1) has been granted a US patent covering its system for remote neurobehavioral testing using audiovisual stimuli, strengthening the company's intellectual property position for its smartphone-based digital biomarker platform, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The company holds an exclusive global license to technology that uses audiovisual stimuli to measure conditioned eyeblink responses and prepulse inhibition for diagnosing autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions, per the filing.
The patent remains valid until November 2041, subject to the payment of maintenance fees, the filing added.
