Trump Says 'We'll See' on Whether Iran Uses Oil Revenue to Rebuild Military

President Donald Trump said Monday he could not guarantee Iran would refrain from using oil-sale proceeds to rebuild its military, saying "we'll see" when asked about the issue, CNBC reported Monday.

Trump said Iran is expected to use unfrozen funds and oil revenue to purchase US agricultural products, including corn and soybeans, and help feed its population.

His comments came after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent authorized imports of Iranian oil and refined products into the US through at least August following peace talks between Washington and Tehran.

An Iranian central banker, however, said the country is under no obligation to buy agricultural products from the United States, CNBC reported.
