Huntington Ingalls Industries Wins $418 Million US Navy Contract for Shipboard Elevator Support

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) said Monday it was awarded a $418 million US Navy contract to maintain and repair shipboard elevators aboard aircraft carriers and amphibious vessels.

Under the five-year contract, the company said its Mission Technologies division will provide engineering, maintenance and technical support for shipboard elevators and related equipment.

The company said it will also conduct sailor training and deploy rapid-response teams to support maintenance and repair operations worldwide.

Huntington Ingalls Industries shares were down 2.9% in Monday trading.
