Elementos (ASX:ELT) said the regional government of Andalucía granted the company's Oropesa tin project in Spain an Overriding Public Interest classification, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The designation boosts the project's development certainty and supports a clear pathway for regulatory approvals, including for key water licenses and water-related utilities, per the filing.
"The declaration formally recognizes tin's national classification as a priority raw material, the project's economic significance and its commitment to responsible environmental management," Elementos Managing Director Joe David said.
The company's shares advanced nearly 10% in recent Tuesday trade.
