据当地媒体周三报道，西班牙桑坦德银行已开始与工会就一项计划进行磋商，拟向西班牙至多3000名员工提供提前自愿退休方案。
此举正值欧洲各地的银行准备应对人工智能带来的影响之际。人工智能预计将简化运营流程，但也会减少人员需求，尤其是在行政岗位方面。
桑坦德银行一位发言人表示，目前正与工会进行磋商，以制定员工自愿提前退休的框架，但未透露具体数字。
据知情人士透露，桑坦德银行此举可能影响其约2万名员工中的10%至15%。
桑坦德银行在2月份发布的战略更新报告中表示，到2028年，人工智能领域的各项举措将带来超过10亿欧元（11.4亿美元）的成本节约和收入增长。
与其他欧洲银行一样，桑坦德银行在过去两年中已裁员约1.4万人，员工总数降至20万人以下，以降低成本。
