6月23日，据路透引述消息人士称，日产汽车正在精简产品线并削减成本，已停止研发在欧洲最畅销车型Qashqai的电动版本。日产汽车曾于2023年承诺在英国最大的汽车工厂生产其Qashqai的电动版本，但公司当时并未明确电动版车型的交付时间表。
消息称，日产已启动一项重大的全球重组计划，目前正在与伦敦方面洽谈，以获得资金支持，用于制定该工厂未来数个月内即将推出的新路线图。不过，电动版Qashqai将不在该计划当中，该车型的研发工作已于去年初暂停。日产发声明称，将继续致力于扩大电动产品的阵容，当中包括混合动力车型；欧洲市场对电动车的需求出现显著波动，而公司亦在推行电动化平衡策略。
