Kroger Board Boosts Dividend by 11%

The board of Kroger has increased the company's quarterly dividend by 11%.

The grocer said its directors approved an increase to 39 cents a share from 35 cents a share.

The new dividend will be paid out on Sept. 1 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 15.

The payout, on an annualized basis, represents a yield of 2.7% based on Wednesday's closing price of $58.48.
