本田汽车(HMC)对旗下美国俄亥俄州电池工厂进行产能改造，联合LG能源解决方案，将原有电动汽车电池产线调整为数据中心储能系统(ESS)电池生产线。该工厂2025年建成，原本用于生产电动车锂电，受电动车市场需求不及预期影响，车企调整整体电气化战略，暂停三款美国市场电动车研发项目。
行业层面，AI数据中心用电需求激增，带动固定式储能市场快速扩容，多家车企将闲置动力电池产能转向储能赛道。本田已于2028年规划混动电池产能，同时计划2029财年推出15款北美市场混动车型，灵活匹配市场需求变化。
