路透6月29日 - 随着这家网约车巨头准备在亚利桑那州凤凰城启动一项新的自动驾驶汽车合作项目，优步（Uber） UBER.N 与Alphabet旗下的 GOOGL.O 旗下公司Waymo已终止了在该市的自动驾驶合作。
根据2023年达成的合作协议，优步曾将Waymo的自动驾驶车辆整合到其网约车和外卖配送平台中。
Waymo一位发言人表示，用于试点项目的车辆已重新并入其自身的凤凰城车队，用户仍可通过其应用程序使用这些车辆。
在奥斯汀和亚特兰大，用户仍可通过优步叫到Waymo的车辆。
“凤凰城是我们与Waymo的首个试点市场，当时是刻意采取的有限部署，专门用于该项目的车辆仅十余辆，”优步发言人表示。
优步表示，该公司正准备在凤凰城启动另一项自动驾驶汽车合作项目，但未透露新合作伙伴的名称。
此次合作终止，源于Waymo此前在美国召回了近3,900辆机器人出租车 (link)，原因是软件问题可能导致车辆驶入封闭的高速公路施工区域并继续行驶。
