Chinasoft International (HKG:0354) won a 44.2 million yuan contract to develop an AI-powered smart hydropower operations project for Yalong River Hydropower Development, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The company, leading a consortium with the National Meteorological Center and Nanjing NARI Water Resources and Hydropower Technology, will develop AI models for weather forecasting, power dispatching, power station operations and maintenance, and power market trading.

Shares of the IT company were up over 3% in Monday morning trade.
