Ribomic Enrolls First Patient in Phase III Trials of Umedaptanib Pegol for Achondroplasia Treatment

Ribomic (TYO:4591) enrolled the first patient in the Phase III clinical trials of its umedaptanib pegol drug among pediatric patients with achondroplasia in Japan, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Japan-based, clinical-stage biotechnology company said that the Phase III trials will enroll 16 patients aged between 2 and 14 years to evaluate the drug's efficacy and safety.
The single-arm study will involve once-weekly subcutaneous administration, with participants undergoing a mandatory 26-week observation period before dosing initiation.
