Information technology stocks advanced 3.2% to lead gainers in midday trading Tuesday.
WiseTech Global (ASX:WTC) shares jumped nearly 10% after it appointed lead independent director Raelene Murphy as independent chair, effective immediately.
On the flip side, utilities stocks shed about 1% to lead decliners.
Origin Energy (ASX:ORG) fell past 1%, while APA Group (ASX:APA) was marginally lower.
